- Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership using in-depth knowledge of engineering principles and relevant technologies. Solve complex problems and propose innovative solutions. May be called upon to lead a team of engineers and technicians in product design, development and improvement.
- Project Management: Lead technical projects by planning, coordinating and supervising all phases of development, from design to implementation. Ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets and specifications.
- Development and Design: Design and develop products, systems or solutions using advanced modeling, simulation and analysis skills. Participate in the research and development of new technologies.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Mentor and supervise less experienced engineers. Provide technical mentoring, share knowledge and develop team skills.
- Standards and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, technical specifications and heavy truck industry best practices.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with other departments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and registered with the Order of Engineers for at least 3 years.
- 5-8 years of experience in progressively more complex engineering roles of increasing responsibility.
- Significant experience in the field of compliance and regulations related to the heavy truck sector in Canada and/or the US.
- In-depth expertise in mechanical engineering, with an ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems.

Daytime schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
